jubail 3a project is designed with 4 potable water tanks. a single potable water tank has a diameterof 106 m, a height of 17.8 m, and a capacity of 150,000 m³. the weight of the aluminum roof of the no. 4 potable water tank that was hoisted this time is 96 tons, and it is hoisted by grip hoist system which includes 77 grip hoists. compared with the manual lifting device, the grip hoist system saves a lot ofmanpower, is easy to operate, and has high stability. in order to ensure the smooth progress of the hoisting task, the project overcomes various unfavorable conditions and formulated a detailed hoisting plan, and carried out detailed safety and technical clarifications to the workers involved in the hoisting. during the hoisting process, the operators coordinated and cooperated with each other, and the hoisting process was smoothand orderly. it took 7 hours to successfully complete the task of hoisting the aluminum roof of the no. 4 potable water tank in place.
