on april 20, the welcome ceremony for the 7 china africa youth festival shandong tour and the china africa youth dialogue were held in the golden hall of shandong building. the event was hosted by the ministry of foreign affairs, the china soong ching ling foundation, and the shandong provincial people’s government, and was hosted by the china soong ching ling youth science and technology cultural exchange center and the provincial foreign affairs office. 49 youth representatives from the african department of the ministry of foreign affairs, the song qingling foundation of china, the people’s government of shandong province, 48 african countries and the african union, representatives of african students studying in shandong, and youth representatives from shandong province participated in this event.
deng yunfeng, vice governor of shandong province, and zhang bin, deputy director of the africa department of the ministry of foreign affairs, delivered speeches at the welcome ceremony. zhao jiande, manager of the engineering department of the south african redstone project department of the company, delivered a speech on emerging areas of cooperation between china and africa, including green development, as a representative of the chinese youth, titled "seizing new energy cooperation opportunities to assist china africa in green development".
the china africa youth festival was founded in 2016. it aims to promote exchanges between china africa youth, continue traditional friendship between china and africa, and cultivate successors in the cause of china africa friendship. with the joint efforts of all parties, the china africa youth festival has successfully held six events, playing an important role in enhancing exchanges and mutual learning among chinese and african youth and deepening friendship.
