the project is an important energy project in the west coast of saudi arabia, covering an area of 3.15 square kilometers, including the construction of a new 5×660mw oil-powered power station and a supporting seawater desalination plant, which can meet the electricity demand of 10% of the saudi population, is an important livelihood project and political project of saudi arabia, and is also an important outcome project of the "belt and road" initiative and saudi arabia's "vision 2030". it has been highly concerned by the saudi government and all sectors of society.
